ATX Mid Tower Computer Case Review By David M. Emerson “Combat Doc”

The Nemesis case is a great case, I have four of them (My two and one each for my kids) Although I do not use the top display feature (I have my towers under desk) it is a handy feature to keep an eye on your system.

There is plenty of room for all my stuff and the ’screw-less’ design is very simple to use and holds well.

The only CON I have – I drilled out the ‘holders’ for the side window fan as it is difficult to get clean and replaced with fan screws for easier removal and cleaning.

The front is touched with an piano black finish and the chassis is reinforced by an 1.0mm steel chassis. The BlackLine is also pre-drilled for external water-cooling and sports an complete screwless installation for 5.25″, 3.5″ and PCI-E.

Security Lock: NZXT knows our customer cares for their case, that’s why we put a user-only key lock on your side panel to keep others tamper with your creation.

Liquid Cooling ready: special feature made for hardcore gamers, allows for water tubing to enter and exit the chassis

Temperature LCD meter: Shows temperature for CPU, HDD, and System. Matching color LCD meter helps user be aware of its system’s condition at all times.

Component Vault Design
The Lexa Blackline has a stealthed side window, no screws or rivets visible. The right side panel swings open and is held in place by a secure locking latch.

The Lexa Blackline’s acrylic window sports a 120mm silent fan that moves cool air over the graphics card and the processor, significantly lowering the temperatures inside the chassis.120mm fan in it.

An Interior Made to Impress
The Lexa Blackline’s side panels open like doors instead of the conventional sliding forward locking. There is room for five internal 3 1/2″ drives. Both sets of drive bays are tool less, installation is accomplished by the typical plastic devices that lock into the screw holes on the sides of drives.

A screwless system makes upgrade integrating simpler. All expansion slots have a tool-less clip which swings out when you need to install an expansion card. Instead of the standard expansion slot brackets, the Lexa Blackline has installed brackets that snap into the slots. Directly above the expansion slots are the pre-drilled holes for water cooling tubes. The 120mm exhaust fan installed in the back has red LEDs and is powered with a 4-pin Molex drive connector.

Lexa Blackline has four 5.25 drive bays, with the two 3.5 drive bays below it and room for five additional 3.5 hard drives at the bottom as well as a 80mm blowhole fan with mesh screen to keep dust out of your case.

Another 120mm intake fan with filter at the front bezel. The internal cables which connect the front Firewire, USB 2.0 and audio ports. While the below right image is of the three included thermal probes. They are marked for Hard Drive, CPU and System. The LCD on the front of the case labels the three temperatures for each of these probes.

Detailed Exterior Features
In contrast to the original Lexa design, which featured blue LED fans and LCD display, the Blackline is painted in a warmer color. With the red LED fans at the rear of the case and on the side panel, the glow compliments a red LCD display which gives temperature readings from the front.

True to the original Lexa form, the Blackline offers convenience for consumers who don’t want to repeatedly open the door just to power on their system.

New to the list of features are the two pre-drilled holes with rubber grommets; a very simple and inexpensive feature to implement which gives computer enthusiasts and overclockers with liquid cooling to opportunity to mix function with affordable fashion.

Easy Set-up and Management
The Blackline to be an excellent midtower case that still allowed user to utilize full size components. Quad pre-installed fans and a sleek finish makes the NZXT Lexa Blackline a performance chassis with an unique character.

What’s in the Box
standoffs, various screws, screw-less drive rails for 2.5″, 3.5″, and 5.25″ drivers, and the locking mechanisms for the drives. A manual is included.

Antec 900 steel ATX Ultimate Gamer PC Case Review: by R. E. Floyd “tech guru”

I build my own computers and for family and friends as needed. I researched several for the purpose of building a quiter gaming case for family use than the one we had which enclosed several 80mm fans and still gave the option of a side mounted fan and a window to show off the inner workings or even give you the peace of mind to make sure your fans still work and maybe that everything is still there. Well, anyway, this case has the power supply mounted on the bottom which allows for the top to house the 200mm fan which has 3 speed settings and is almost silent on the high setting even.

The P/S being mounted on the bottom allows for cool air that falls to be pulled through it and not cause premature wear and heat related shutdowns with that particular device. I have always considered the bottom of a vertical case to be better than the top for a power supply since many bulk manufacturers use only the fan in the P/S to pull heat out and this “cheap trick” significantly shortens the life of computer hardware by not allowing heat out of the case except through the unit which makes it even hotter. Power supplies and hard drives die early because of heat problems almost exclusively. The fans in this case are more than adequate to provide enough circulation with very little noise and plenty of room to expand and work. The case is also very light in weight as it is mostly made of aluminum. The handy tray on top works well for holding anything from ink pens to screws while working on the case.

It looks very well built and I must say that it is even better than the pictures can show. Combined with a good power supply, this case is an excellent start to a new system or, as in my case, a very welcome and fully featured upgrade to an existing system. The only thing lacking, which doesn’t really bother me that much but may others if it is a feature that you feel you really need, is that it does not have a removable motherboard tray meaning that you will have to do most of the work while it is installed in the case. This is an extraordinary product for the price and a very nice step in the case industry for Antec.

Antec ATX Ultimate Gamer PC Case Review: By Dave M (Alexandria, VA) -

I just built a Core Duo computer using this case, and I’m very satisfied with the results. The case is beautiful from the outside and somewhat roomy on the inside. The fans are numerous and very quiet.

The largest problem I had was that this case puts the power supply at the bottom of the case. This makes for more room near the top, which is great, but some power cables (notably the 24 pin power connector and 4 pin power connector) were too short. I had to buy extension cables. It was also a little tough to screw in the hard drives into their cages, but with those points in mind, I am very satisfied.

The case glows blue in the front which looks great. The USB ports and power button on the top are great ideas. I’d buy it again, but I’d make sure to buy the extension cables at the same time.

ATX PC Case Review By Joshua S.
I was amazed at how nice the case was for its price. The only problem that I had with it was that the PSU only had one 4 pin 12v motherboard plug. If you use a motherboard that takes an 8 pin, I recommend that you buy an adapter.

ATX PC Compuer Case Review By Hector Geraldo
I had to assemble my own pc, and i really like my purchase.
The side fan is very useful when it comes to temperature issues, and the front side is very good looking when you make the leds work :D Also, the front usb ports/audio ports are great!

ATX PC Case Review By John Lee –

The case was a lot nicer then i was expecting, The fan on the side was a lot bigger then i pictured, I would recommend this case to anyone considering buying it.

ATX PC Case Review By Diane V. Reeves “Sam” (Saint Louis, MO)

This case is great for the price. I have used it for around a month now, with no big problems. The few small problems I did run into are with my motherboard fitting into the case. The case was bigger than I expected, and my motherboard is a little bit smaller than normal. (Asus P5NSLI) It works, but I can’t screw in my graphics card, etc. Otherwise, GREAT for the price!!

ATX PC Case Review  M. Sandlin “gwiedo” (WI)
CASE IS BIG ENOUGH FOR A LARGE MOTHERBOARD. WAS A LITTLE TIGHT FOR THE CABLING, MAINLY BECAUSE THE POWER SUPPLY I USED HAD WAY TO MANY CABLES,( I COULDN’T USE THE ONE THAT CAME WITH IT BECAUSE IT DIDN’T HAVE A 2-4 ATX MOBO PLUG.} ,I ORDERED A CORSAIR 650 WATT WHICH APEARS TO WORK VERY WELL AND ALOS BECAUSE THE FAN DOES PROTRUDE INTO THE USABLE AREA SOMEWHAT SO IT MADE IT A LITTLE BIT OF A CHALLENDGE TO FIT ALL THE CABLES. ALSO. CASE WAS PLENTY BIG THOUGH FOR A GAME MACHINE WITH PLENTY OF EXPANSION SLOTS AND DRIVE BAYS. WAS WORTH THE PRICE EVEN WITHOUT USING THE PROVIDED POWER SUPPLY.
